Getting a DVSA practical driving test in Oxford is a real problem with more examiners leaving the DVSA than they are employing. Waiting times, on occasion, can be up to 6 months but you can take all the stress and time away by booking an intensive driving course.
With an A Pass 4 U intensive driving course or as they are sometimes ironically known a driving crash course, we do all of the hard work for you. Once we have spoken with you to ascertain which driving course would give you the best possible chance of becoming a safe, independent driver which also happens to be the DVSA test standard we will start the search for a practical driving test which can take a bit of time due to the lack of tests but we do normally get earlier than the normal tests offered by the DVSA.
Our Oxford intensive driving courses are normally run with 5 hours of training per day, over “X” number of consecutive days depending on your driving history but the last hour on the last day is always arranged as the DVSA practical test. You will, of course, have the same fully qualified driving instructor throughout who will be local to the area and will be able to show you the hot spots on the test routes whilst learning to drive. Hot spots are normally very busy roundabouts, junctions that do not work in a regular way as well as things that are specific to a driving test.
If you are not sure how many hours you will need on an intensive driving course, we can always arrange a 2-hour assessment lesson during which we will give you tuition but at the end, one of our ADis (driving instructors) will recommend a course for you based on your driving. Please note that because the DVSA require a theory test to be passed before they allow a practical test to be booked you will need to have passed your theory test.
If you are looking to get driving during the school/college/Uni holidays you may wish to get organised now for the Christmas holidays as the DVSA regular tests that are being booked are now in January but we can normally source earlier.
